Adventure Photography Tours and Workshops has evolved from a photographic art gallery that provided photographic workshops and personal local tours to worldwide photographic adventures.
For workshops, we offer basic education such as "Getting to Know Your Camera" and "Photography Fundamentals" to beginner through advanced Elements and Photoshop. We also offer artistic workshops such as "Developing Your Creative Vision" and "Composition". Workshops are held in our downtown gallery as well as our professional photography studio located in south Vero Beach.
The basic concept of our photography tours is simple: We take you to the locations that will get you the best picture at the best time of day or night. Almost everyone agrees that photography is all about light. And unique travel photographs are all about going to a special spot at the right time, under the right conditions, so we can have the right light. This may mean that we are going to be in a 16th century abbey at sunrise before they officially open to the public, maybe the sunrise will be captured in a private vineyard and we will all be guests, or it might just be sunset on the Indian River Lagoon photographing Ospreys as they dive down for their dinner. Combining our tours with workshops, critiques, and instruction based on the location and type of photography, and you will return home from the adventure with pictures that are unique and amazing.

Fundamentals of Photographywith J. Scott Kelly
Whether you're using a point-and-shoot or a DSLR, this workshop The workshop will cover basic manual camera operation, aperture and shutter speeds, depth of field, stop action vs. slow motion, lens choices, exposure and metering, digital formats and storage, basic photography gadgets, composition, framing and boundaries, angle of view, texture, and photography genres. A great pre-requisite to getting out and shooting better pictures.

Professional Bird Photographer and Wildlife Biologist Ron Bielefeld will teach you the fundamentals of bird photography so you can get to the next level and capture images of birds that are crisp and clear and really pop off the screen. Ron, who has a Masters in Wildlife Ecology and Biology, has worked for twenty years as a wildlife ecologist and currently works for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. So join Ron for this special workshop that will not only be a lot of fun, but you'll learn some amazing techniques..
